Giving Kids the Tools to Learn
Jericho Elementary School students enjoy the opportunity to spend time in learning outside in their "forest classroom." It gives them a chance to work in a setting that feels more like play. Recently, a toolbox filled with tools was stolen from their outdoor classroom, much to the disappointment of their teacher and students alike.
Kelly Kimball, branch manager at Community Bank in Jericho, heard about what had happened online, and decided they had to do something. Just a few days later, the students met up at the Jerihill Ace Hardware Store in Jericho where Community Bank purchased new tools and a new tool box for the class.
