The right response: Driving growth for North Eastern Rescue Vehicles

Emergency vehicles help make critical moments count when the difference between saving a life is a matter of minutes.

Former paramedic Bob Reilly can confirm the importance of “doing the right thing, right now.” It’s the foundation of his business, North Eastern Rescue Vehicles (NERV). For over 30 years, NERV has serviced and distributed emergency vehicles for communities all over New York and New England.

The family-owned business has now grown into its second generation of leadership under Bob’s son, Rob Reilly. Business continues to evolve while customers still need a reliable product that will perform in a time of need.

NERV needed a local banking partner that could rise to the occasion. “Looking back at our 15+-year relationship with Community Bank, I feel like the scale of our banking relationship has quadrupled,” Bob says. “We really appreciate the insights, the partnership, and the service—and that’s allowed North Eastern Rescue Vehicles to grow exponentially over the past few years.”

Bob credits some of that success to the relationship he's built with his Commercial Banking Officer, Taylor Hilsinger. “Taylor’s innovative and responsive banking has made us very happy to work with the team at Community Bank,” Bob says. “The ability to make changes has really benefitted our business, and we’re very thankful.”

From loans and deposits to treasury management services, Taylor has consulted with Bob every step of the way to provide solutions and offerings that fit NERV’s needs. Bob’s knowledge of the market and foresight allowed the team to make choices that supported that growth for the long term.

When we spoke with Bob’s son, Rob said he looks forward to the company's future. “We come into work each day excited to work with one another and deliver a service for folks who are out there saving lives every day.”

That team mentality might be why the business has seen over 30 years of success. “You can’t grow without other partners who help you through opportunities,” Bob says. “Working with Community Bank, we haven’t run into a challenge that we couldn’t work our way through.”
