Community Bank Promotes Monticia Prather to Culture & Diversity Officer

At Community Bank, we love helping team members develop and grow in their careers, and we couldn’t be more proud to congratulate Monticia Prather on her promotion to Culture & Diversity Officer. In her new role, Monticia will lead our Culture & Diversity Council in its efforts to create an environment that doesn’t just accept diversity, but values it.

Since Monticia joined Community Bank in 2017, she’s continued to impress her coworkers and customers with strong leadership skills, drive, and passion for making a difference. That’s how in just three years Monticia rose from part-time teller to manager-in-training to branch manager of our Plattsburgh office.

It’s also why Monticia is the natural choice to lead our Culture & Diversity Council. She brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the role saying, “I truly believe in Community Bank and our culture of respect. We believe each employee enriches our environment with their unique characteristics.”

We believe Monticia is uniquely poised to advance our important diversity and inclusion efforts. Turns out we’re not the only ones who think she deserves recognition: Last year, Monticia was named 2021 Trailblazer of the Year and 2021 Business Woman of the Year by the North Country Chamber of Commerce and Champlain Valley Business & Professional Women, respectively.

Please join us in congratulating Monticia on her new position. It’s sure to be a rewarding opportunity for her—and all of us at Community Bank.
