United Way 2025 Results: Supporting Stronger Communities Together

Community is at the heart of who we are. Each year, employees across CFSI come together to support United Way and local nonprofit organizations that strengthen the communities we serve. The results of our 2025 campaign reflect a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference close to home.

For the second consecutive year, our companywide United Way campaign delivered strong participation and growing impact. What began as independent efforts across parts of the organization has evolved into a unified initiative that brings employees together around a common purpose.

In 2024, the first year of an all-CFSI campaign, 324 employees contributed more than $74,000. In 2025, participation climbed to nearly 400 employees, helping raise almost $100,000 in support of local programs and services. The average pledge per participant also continued to increase, underscoring a deepening investment in the causes that matter most to our employees and our communities.

United Way focuses on advancing education, financial stability, and health. Because contributions remain local, employee giving directly supports neighbors, families, and organizations across our footprint. This year, 35 United Way chapters benefited from the campaign, along with 37 additional nonprofit organizations serving our communities. These included A Tiny Home For Good, Food Bank of Central New York, Northeast Kingdom Human Services, OnPoint for College, Shipman Youth Center, Rescue Mission of Utica, and the Watertown YMCA, among many others.

Support for United Way extends beyond financial contributions. Employees also participate in volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including Day of Caring projects that provide hands-on assistance to nonprofit partners. Teams across the organization host local events, build volunteer programs, and strengthen relationships with community organizations. In Utica, for example, the BPAS team launched its first United Way kickoff event and established an ongoing calendar of volunteer opportunities in the region.

Providing opportunities for employees to give back is an important part of our culture. Through the convenience of payroll deduction, employees may choose to support any United Way of their choice. Participation is always voluntary and reflects our commitment to empowering employees to support causes that align with their personal values.

United Way’s message resonates strongly with our own: together, we do more. Through generosity, volunteerism, and shared purpose, our employees continue to make a lasting impact across the communities we are proud to serve.
