Bringing comfort to the community: Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA

Community is at the heart of everything we do, and our team is united by a shared passion and sense of responsibility for making a difference. As we continually celebrate and support our local communities, including the many nonprofit organizations making a difference, we’re pleased to shine a light on The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA. The center recently celebrated more than 25 years of providing support and resources to cancer patients and their families in the Forty Fort region of Pennsylvania through non-medical, holistic programs and classes in a welcoming, supporting, and relaxing environment.

“Anyone whose life has been touched by cancer knows that beyond medical treatments, the process can be a very stressful and emotional journey. However, the mission of The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA is commendable in its emphasis to alleviate some of that stress for patients and their loved ones, ensuring that everyone who walks through their doors may find comfort amid their battle through holistic services that focus on physical, emotional, and social well-being. Several team members support the organization through volunteer committee service, and Community Bank has been a proud partner of the center and its mission for many years, sponsoring raffles for the center’s annual gala and participating in an annual two-mile walk around Forty Fort to help raise awareness and essential funds to keep services free for patients and their caregivers in the community.” —Alison Zurawski, Community Relations Manager
