Special Purpose Credit Program: Amun’s Story

Amun Ra knows housing. As the Director of Planning and Community Development at PUSH Buffalo, a not-for- profit organization dedicated to creating strong neighborhoods with affordable and sustainable housing, he also knows that homebuying isn’t always easy. What helps is teamwork—especially with someone you trust. 

For Amun, his homebuying journey started with a flyer. A colleague had left information about Community Bank’s Special Purpose Credit Program on his desk. “I read it over and it seemed too good to be true,” Amun said. “But I was curious, so I gave them a call.” 

On the other end of the phone was Amy Lindquist, Branch Manager in Orchard Park. Amy helped Amun through each step in the homebuying process. From prequalification to mortgage application, she remained by his side to make sure things went as smoothly as possible.
