What is a Positive Pay exception?
When a check is presented for payment, the bank will verify the check number, payee, and dollar amount from your check issues. If an item does not match it becomes an exception. You will have until 12:00pm EST to review the items and enter a decision to pay or return. If you don’t decision the item by the cutoff time, the item will be returned.
