How is the exchange rate determined for foreign transactions?
The exchange rate for international debit card purchases is set by Visa® International. This rate of exchange is either the wholesale market rate or a government-mandated rate on the day before the date the transaction is processed.
We suggest that customers use Visa's Foreign Currency Exchange Rates Calculator to get an idea of the rate they may expect to receive.
