How can I set up my new loan payment automatically?
To set up autopay with a CBNA account, follow these steps:
- Log in to Online Banking or the mobile app
- Select Transfers from the dashboard or left side navigation menu
- Click/tap Make a transfer
- Select the From and To accounts
- Enter the amount you want to transfer
- Click/tap Submit
- Under More Options, you will see Frequency, Date, and Memo options
- For Frequency, you have the following options:
- Once, Weekly, Every two weeks, Twice a month, or Monthly
- You can schedule the transfer for the date the payment is due
That's it! The system will display a message that the Transfer has been submitted.
If you have a checking account at another bank, you can add the checking as an external account and create External Transfers to make your loan payment.
Follow these steps to add an external account:
- Log in to Online Banking or the mobile app
- On the left side menu, click/tap Transfers
- To add an external bank account, click/tap +External account
- For security reasons, enter your online banking password and click/tap Confirm password
- Enter the name on your external account
- Enter the routing number, checking account number, and account type for your external account
- Please note that you cannot add CBNA accounts for external transfers
- Click/tap Submit
Within one to two business days, the external account will receive two small deposits called micro deposits from Community Bank N.A.
Once the deposits have been received:
- Log in to Online Banking or the mobile app
- To verify the micro deposit amounts, select Transfers from the left side menu
- Click/tap External accounts
- Enter the 2 micro deposit amounts with no decimal
- Click/tap Confirm
You will receive a message that the account has been added, and you can start making transfers.
