What if I have a Budget Tools transaction that falls under multiple categories?
Budget Tools makes this easy for you to do this with split tags. If you would like to split the tags for a transaction, please follow these steps:
- Select any transaction when an edit button appears next to it.
- Select “Use Split Tags” in the Tags area of the form.
- Enter your first tag and its allocated value in the first row of fields that appear.
- Repeat the process for each tag, ensuring that the entire balance of the transaction is accounted for.
- Select “Add Tag” if you want to split between more than two tags.
- Select “Save Transaction” to finalize the changes.
