What happens if I scheduled a bill payment and the funds are not available in my account on that date?
If you do not have sufficient funds on the scheduled pay date for an electronically processed payment, the system will attempt 2 more times. If the funds are still not available, the payment gets cancelled. When the funds are in the account, you can set up a new payment. For a check payment, the check may be returned.
